Langdale Hotel Spa is a 2 Star AA Accredited Country House Hotel
Description: In the heart of the Lake District, this 4-star woodland estate offers a luxury spa, award-winning dining and 35 acres of scenic grounds. Langdale Hotel and Spa is a 10-minute drive from Ambleside. Rooms at Langdale each have a modern bathroom with designer toiletries and luxury robes. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and an iPod dock, and the beds have Egyptian cotton sheets. The majority of the 56 bedrooms are located village-style, in historic building close to the reception and spa. Wainwrights' Inn is a traditional pub with open fires and real ale, whilst Purdey's Restaurant features an original canon and views of a working water wheel. There is also a leafy terrace and bistro bar. The sumptuous spa has an indoor swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness centre. Guests can relax in the whirlpool bath, steam room or tropical showers, and beauty treatments are available. Surrounded by rolling hills and gentle streams, Langdale Hotel and Spa is situated in Chapel Stile. Free on-site parking is available, and the shores of Lake Windermere are within a 10-minute drive.PLEASE NOTE: The Langdale Hotel and Spa is undertaking the most exciting hotel development in the Lake District seen for many years with the construction of 16 new luxury suites. The construction is of a new building separate from the existing bedrooms and facilities. There may be some disruption in terms of appearance from some of the rooms. Disruption will be kept to a minimum and work will be taking place Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm. All the facilities on site are unaffected and open.
Directions: From the south, leave the M6 at junction 36, take the A591 signposted Windermere - by-passing Kendal. Follow this Lakeland route past Windermere to Ambleside. Turn left on to the A593. At Skelwith Bridge bear right on to the B5343 for 2 miles follow signs for Langdale. From the north, leave the M6 at junction 40. Take the A66 towards Keswick, then left via the B5322 St Johns in the Vale, then on to the A591 via Grasmere to Ambleside. Turn right on to the A593. At Skelwith Bridge turn right on to the B5343 and follow signs for Langdale.
