Description: Located in the picturesque town of Windermere and set in a quiet area off the main road, this property is the ideal base for exploring the Lake District. Within walking distance of the train station, shops and many restaurants, Wheatlands Lodge is a traditional family owned and run Lake District residence dating from around 1860 set in delightful gardens. The property has recently undergone a full programme of refurbishment respecting the houses' history, offering period charm with modern style and comfort. This friendly 5 Star Luxury guest accommodation has been awarded a Silver Award by Visit Britain and has the benefit of free on-site parking which is unique in the area considering the short walking distance to the main attractions Lake Windermere has to offer, also the surrounding mountains with spectacular scenery. Please note, children under 16 can not be accommodated at Wheatlands Lodge. Pets are not permitted.
Directions: From the M6 junction 36, follow the A590 which becomes the A591 to Windermere (16 miles approx.), then turn left into Windermere village (signposted Bowness and The Lake), through the traffic lights and take the second turning on the right hand side. Look out for the Lakeland Insurance building on the corner of Old College Lane.
